For people whose experience matters

Your experience can become someone else's unfair advantage.

“The right conversation can save someone months of expensive guessing.” Pivotroom gives experienced founders, executives, investors and operators a thoughtful way to make what they know accessible through focused one-to-one conversations.

The idea

You've already paid for your experience in time, mistakes and decisions.

Someone else is facing a problem you've already navigated. Pivotroom turns that gap into access. You decide when you are available, what you are useful for, and what your time is worth. We handle discovery, booking, payment and the structure around the conversation.

Who belongs on Pivotroom

People with receipts.

Not everyone needs a public profile. We are looking for people whose experience is specific enough to be genuinely useful.

01 / FOUNDERS

You've built something real.

You have firsthand lessons from starting, surviving, growing, raising, selling or rebuilding a business.

02 / EXECUTIVES

You've carried serious responsibility.

You have led teams, functions, markets or companies and can speak from execution, not theory.

03 / INVESTORS

You've evaluated risk and opportunity.

You understand capital, founder readiness, investment decisions, governance or financial strategy.

04 / OPERATORS

You know how the work actually gets done.

You carry deep functional or industry expertise in areas where context and experience matter.

Why experts join

Make your experience accessible without making yourself constantly available.

Pivotroom is designed around controlled access. You set the boundaries. The platform creates the context and handles the repetitive parts.

01

You control your time.

Open only the hours you want. One hour a month is enough to participate meaningfully.

02

You set your price.

Choose pricing that reflects your time, reputation and depth of experience.

03

Clients arrive with context.

Users can submit the problem they want help with before the session, so the conversation starts closer to the point.

04

Your profile builds authority.

Show what you have actually built, led and learned rather than presenting another generic professional bio.

05

Pivotroom handles the mechanics.

Discovery, booking, reminders, payments and session logistics live in one place.

Simple economics

Your time. Your price. Clear platform terms.

Experts decide their base session price and availability. Pivotroom earns when the platform creates the booking, with transaction fees already included in the platform commission.

How joining works

From application to your first useful conversation.

01 / APPLY

Tell us what you've actually done.

Share your experience, the kinds of problems you can help solve and a few proof points.

02 / REVIEW

Pivotroom reviews the fit.

We look for specificity, credibility and whether your experience fills a real user need.

03 / BUILD PROFILE

Turn experience into something searchable.

Your profile focuses on what users can talk to you about, not a long résumé dump.

04 / OPEN TIMES

Choose when the room is open.

Set session lengths, price and availability. You remain in control of your calendar.

The standard

What makes a strong Pivotroom expert.

01

Specific experience

You can point to situations you have actually navigated, not only subjects you have studied.

02

Useful judgment

You know how to ask good questions, understand context and help someone make a better decision.

03

Professional reliability

You respect booked time, communicate clearly and treat private client context responsibly.

04

No hard selling

Sessions are for helping the client think and move forward, not turning every conversation into a sales pitch.

Expert application

What should people come to you for?

Start with the experience that makes you unusually useful. The application is intentionally short.

Pivotroom is curated.
Applying does not automatically publish a profile. Applications are reviewed before experts get access to build their profile.

Start with who you are.

Enough context for us to understand your background. You can polish the public profile later.

Questions

Before you apply.

Do I need to be a consultant?+

No. Pivotroom is built for experienced people, not only professional consultants. Founders, executives, investors and operators can participate while continuing their main work.

How much time do I need to commit?+

You control your availability. A small starting commitment, even around one hour per month, can be enough.

Can I choose my own price?+

Yes. Experts set their base price, subject to the platform's final onboarding rules and displayed fee structure.

Can I offer in-person sessions?+

Yes, where supported. In-person sessions should use approved professional or public locations rather than private homes.

Can I choose between online and in-person sessions?+

Yes. You are not limited to one format — you can offer sessions online, in person, or both, and update your preference anytime from your profile.

Does every application get accepted?+

No. Pivotroom is curated. Applications are reviewed for credibility, specificity, reliability and whether the experience is useful to the marketplace.

What if I want to donate some sessions?+

The platform can support optional donated or impact-oriented sessions as part of the expert's availability and profile settings.
